Fastech Executive Director for Business Development Rene I. dela Cruz attended an export and investment roadshow in Israel last November 6-13, 2017.

The purpose of attending this roadshow is to promote trade and investments in the country. It aims to explore prospects for Filipino exporters of food, electronics, semiconductors and information and communications technology, as well as learn from Israel’s innovation ecosystem.

Mr. dela Cruz was part of the Philippine delegation along with 13 other representatives from food, electronics, IT and trading sectors of the Philippines. They were headed by Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba of the Industry Development and Trade Policy Group (IDTPG) – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The delegates attended a series of meetings and business matching sessions with the Jerusalem Chamber of Commerce, Haifa Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce.

“Through this trade mission, we expect to explore business and investment opportunities for Fastech/Firstec Metallics Inc. (FMI) for product development, contract manufacturing and academe linkages,” said Mr. dela Cruz.

The Philippine Trade and Innovation Exploratory Mission to Israel is hosted by the DTI Export Marketing Bureau, in partnership with the Israel Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCP), and the Embassy of the Philippines in Israel.
