Fastech Holds Key Technical Employee Awards
June 15, 2020
Fastech recognized personnel for their innovative projects in its Key Technical Employee Awarding Ceremony last August 20, 2019.
As one of the Philippines’ leading semiconductor manufacturing companies, Fastech values forward-thinking and inspired problem-solving. It fosters a growth mindset and as such encourages employees to embark on projects that promote continuous improvement. The benefits employee innovations bring forth include cost savings, work simplification, yield improvement, productivity, and capacity improvement.
Two batches of projects were presented to the panel on July 16 and July 23. Invited to the roster of the technical committee were Fastech President Engr. Allan P. Timonera, Managing Director Primo D. Mateo Jr., and Executive Directors Erwin O. Manibog, Rene I. Dela Cruz, Wally R. Agcambert Jr., and Lionel L. Belen. They discussed and decided among ten projects and awarded five of them based on business relevance (20%), technical relevance (35%), methodology (35%), and presentation (10%).
There were two Silver Awards given out. The first to the team of Jason G. Sison and Primitivo L. Regencia Jr. for their joint effort on “PLAD Mold Tool Improvement with Significant Effect to Delamination Reduction and Gate Chip-out /Crack Elimination.” They were mentored by Joselito C. Gayagoy. The second Silver Award went, once again, to Primitivo L. Regencia Jr. for his solo work on “MQB and B8 Yield Improvement Through Identification of Compatible Mold Compound Spiral Flow.” On this project, he was mentored by Odessa H. Tomayao.
Three Bronze Awards were also handed out to deserving personnel. The first was given to the pair of Primitivo L. Regencia Jr. and Maureen T. Aliwalas for their project “TO220 H-Series Mold Toll Improvement to Increase Mold Capacity and Spare Parts Cost Reduction.” The second was awarded to Lilibeth A. Esguerra and Alexander L. Baliton for “DO41 Package Leads to Die Dislodge Elimination Through Temperature Reflow Solder Optimization for Pynmax Die.” The last Bronze Award went to Camilo C. Matti and Johnny M. Borja for “Yield Improvement Through Technical Characterization Approach on POWI Devices”.
It was a proud moment for all those who took part in this show of innovation and ingenuity. Indeed, the most valuable asset of Fastech that ensures its world-class quality and performance are the minds of the people behind it.
